This Policy explains how Driver/Partner information is handled when a person registers for and uses the Maxim driver application in Timor-Leste. The local service operator is Ithliamor Unipessoal Lda.
1. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBLE ENTITY
1.1. Ithliamor Unipessoal Lda, registration No. 06030215028790977, Tax No. 1306062, address 30 de Agosto, Malinamok-Kampung Baru, Comoro, Dili, Timor-Leste, is the local operator responsible for the Maxim service in Timor-Leste and for the processing described in this Policy to the extent applicable to its activities.
1.2. This Policy applies to registration, verification, Order activity, location functions, Personal Account records, ratings, support, safety/fraud review and related driver-application functions.
2. DRIVER INFORMATION WE PROCESS
2.1. Registration and identity information may include full name, phone number, ID/passport details, driving-licence information and copies/images of documents provided for verification.
2.2. The system may process GPS/location information when needed for driver availability, Order distribution, pickup, route and Order-progress functions, together with Order history, acceptance/cancellation information, ratings, complaints, service-rule information and Personal Account records.
2.3. Technical information may include device identifiers, application version, network information, security logs and diagnostic information.
2.4. Maxim may process communications and information submitted through Feedback/support.
2.5. Maxim may request additional driver or vehicle information in the future where necessary for legal compliance, safety, verification or operation of a service category.
3. WHY DRIVER INFORMATION IS USED
• to register and verify a Driver account;
• to determine eligibility to access Orders and relevant service categories;
• to show nearby or suitable Orders and manage Order performance;
• to calculate and display ratings and service-quality information;
• to maintain Personal Account and service-fee records;
• to provide support and investigate complaints;
• to prevent fraud, unsafe conduct and misuse;
• to maintain and secure the Application;
• to comply with applicable law and lawful requests from competent authorities;
• to send operational and, where permitted, promotional communications.
4. INFORMATION SHARED WITH CLIENTS AND OTHERS
4.1. After an Order is offered or accepted, Maxim may provide the Client with information reasonably necessary to identify or contact the Partner and follow the Order, such as name, rating, location/order progress and relevant service or vehicle information available in the system.
4.2. Authorised technology, hosting, telecommunications, payment, security and professional service providers may process Driver information where necessary to operate Maxim.
4.3. Maxim may disclose relevant information to DNTT, police, courts, tax authorities, regulators or another competent body where required or permitted by law.
4.4. Maxim does not sell Driver personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
5. STORAGE AND CROSS-BORDER PROCESSING
5.1. Data for the Timor-Leste service is stored on servers located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
5.2. Authorised personnel and service providers may access the system where necessary for platform operation, maintenance, support, security, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Access should be limited to authorised purposes and protected by reasonable safeguards.
5.3. Maxim will comply with mandatory Timor-Leste requirements applicable to cross-border processing.
6. RATINGS AND ACCOUNT DECISIONS
6.1. Driver ratings are calculated automatically according to the system formula and cannot be manually edited.
6.2. Rating, complaints, Order activity and service-rule information may be used to assess service quality and possible violations.
6.3. Maxim does not automatically block a Driver solely through an automated blocking decision. Where a suspected violation may justify restriction or blocking, relevant information is reviewed by an authorised person, who may decide to restrict or block access. A Driver may use Feedback/support to provide information or ask for review. Human review does not mean the automatically calculated rating itself can be manually changed.
7. LOCATION DATA
GPS/location information is used where necessary for availability, Order distribution, pickup, route, Order progress, safety and fraud prevention. The exact collection depends on application operation and device permissions. The Driver may control permissions through device settings, but disabling required location access may prevent the Application from functioning correctly.
8. RETENTION AND DELETION
8.1. Driver information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for registration, account operation, Orders, Personal Account and service-fee records, ratings, safety/fraud prevention, support, legal claims and legal or accounting requirements.
8.2. A Driver may request account and personal-data deletion through Feedback/support in the Application. The request is reviewed by a person. Data that is no longer needed will be deleted or de-identified as appropriate.
8.3. Some information may be retained after closure where necessary because of an outstanding balance, Order, payment, dispute, fraud/safety investigation, government request, legal claim or legal obligation.
9. DRIVER RIGHTS
A Driver may contact Maxim to ask what personal information is held and the purpose for which it is used, and may request correction or updating of inaccurate information. A Driver may request deletion as described above and may exercise any additional rights provided by applicable Timor-Leste law. Maxim may request reasonable information to verify identity before acting on a request.
10. SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Maxim does not intentionally request information about private life, political or philosophical beliefs, religion, party or trade-union membership or ethnic origin for ordinary driver-platform use. A Driver photo or document image, if requested for verification, is used for identification and service purposes and is not described as biometric identification unless the system actually performs technical biometric identification.
11. SECURITY
Maxim uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect Driver information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure. No information system can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
12. MARKETING AND OPERATIONAL MESSAGES
12.1. Maxim may send operational messages concerning Orders, account status, safety, security, support and service information.
12.2. Promotional communications may be sent by push notification, SMS and e-mail where permitted by law. The Driver may opt out of promotional communications through available settings, unsubscribe methods or Feedback/support without losing necessary operational or security messages.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Maxim may update this Policy when technology, processing practices or applicable law changes. The current version will be published on the legal website. Additional notice or consent will be used where required by law.
